From KIAI President
To All KIAI Members

I was very honoured when my good friend Ivica Zdravkovic contacted me recently to offer the vacant role of KIAI President after Walt Bushey’s resignation. I gratefully (and humbly) accepted the position, as although I have been a KIAI member for three or four years now, I recognise the fact that the KIAI organisation has many unique members and excellent Budo practitioners worldwide.

Over the period of time as a member, I have read a vast amount of fascinating articles and have been in contact with many fine Instructors, which in turn lead to me hopping on a plane to Serbia in November last year to attend the first KIAI seminar with Ivica and his fine students.

KIAI is almost five years old and I am now asking all members for their help and input to aid us in the next five years, by keeping active and forwarding any articles for inclusion in the on – line magazine. These could range from news on seminars, club updates or photos to amusing stories or dojo experiences.

The Bushido Zazen International Society, of which my students and I are members in the UK, has an association motto:

JI – TA – KYO – EI

(By helping each other all benefit)

By forwarding your news, articles or photos, we are all helping each other benefit and continue to learn. We are after all, on the same path.

I look forward to many years in this position and the future growth of KIAI with the help of all of its current and future members.
