SBC National Chanbara Team in ISCA

Serbian Budo Council's National Chanbara Team is officially accepted to International Sports Chanbara Association (ISCA). We received the copy of the certificate from the Japan Headquarters in Yokohama, and the original should be presented to National Team members on European Championship in Moscow (Russia), scheduled for 27th day of March 2005. SBC expresses deepest thanks to Dana Abbott sensei from USA, International Director (Kaicho) of ISCA for his help, and also to Tetsundo Tanabe sensei, sport chanbara founder and ISCA president, for his kind support.

We hope to get the financial support from local and state governmental and sport authorities, to be able to send our team to Russia. This will be another fine opportunity not only to represent Serbia, but to test Shinbukan Kenjutsu, which is official system practiced in Serbian Budo Council.

It may be surprising how difference in age and rank often means little in this sport form of kenjutsu.

Serbian Choken is a cheap replica made of light plastic tube with sponge cover, wrapped in simple post-pack tape.
This home-made handy replacement for ActionFlex and Air-style Choken is used on regular classes
and is extremely cheap: anyone can make it in 10 minutes from original plumbing material sold for only 2 US Dollars!
Of course, for full protection, original ISCA equipment is absolutely recommended.
